Gulls New Signing
Torquay United have announced the arrival of winger, Jason Banton.
Banton, 25, joins the Gulls after a season with Woking FC, where he made 26 appearance and scored 3 goals.
His former clubs include Liverpool, Leicester City, and Crystal Palace but the Yellow Army might know Jason from his time with Plymouth Argyle where he made 38 league appearances.
It was at Plymouth that he helped the Pilgrims reach the League Two play-offs in 2014-15 where he scored against Wycombe Wanderers in the semi-final home leg. Stays at Wycombe Wanderers, Notts County, and Crawley Town followed before joining the Cards.
With pre-season training starting on the 2nd July, United manager Gary Owers now has nine players under contract for the start of the 2018/19 season, as Banton joins George Essuman, Josh Gowling, Jakub Sokolik, Bobson Bawling, Jamie Reid, Ruairi Keating, Jon-Paul Pittman, and Brett Williams on the books at Plainmoor.
