Second Place for Home School Stover in Cross-Country Challenge

On Wednesday 23rd September, Stover School played host to over 400 primary school pupils from 18 schools involving Years Three to Six, from our link and involvement with the Dartmoor Sports Partnership. Stover School had 31 representatives from our pupils. The weather held and it turned out to be a wonderful afternoon of cross-country. The races were divided into age and gender categories of: Year Three and Four Girls; Year Three and Four Boys; Year Five and Six Girls and Year Five and Six Boys, with over 100 pupils participating in each category. The afternoon was extremely successful with pupils, parents and staff alike enjoying the children participating, competing and doing their best and enjoying the experience.

HALL OF FAME

Particular Stover pupils who achieved fantastic results were:

Y3/4 Girls:

Nell Smith with 2nd place, Abbie Cox with 4th place and Elen Stone with 22nd place.

Y3/4 Boys:

Elliot Fenton with 3rd place, Noah Sutton with 7th place and Oliver Halton with 23rd place.

Y5/6 Girls:

Lucy Eastley-Jones with 8th place and Alice Patterson with 31st place.

Y 5/6 Boys:

Noah Fenton with 15th place.

Once the event had finished, the final results were then declared. From combined girls’ and boys’ scores, Stover’s Year Three/Four team finished a brilliant 2nd position!!!
