An Evening with Kenny Sansom
Torquay United will be hosting a very special evening for all football fans, as they welcome former Arsenal and England full-back Kenny Sansom to Plainmoor.
Kenny Sansom made over 300 appearances for Arsenal, and also played for Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, QPR, Coventry City, and Everton among other clubs. In total he made over 600 first team appearances and played 86 times for England, including playing in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final when England faced Argentina and Maradona scored the infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal.
After a twenty-year career in football he certainly has some stories to tell, not just about his top-level career in the game, but also about his battles with addictions.
The event takes place on the 20th April, with pre-drinks starting at 7pm. Tickets are £35 each and include a three-course meal and stand-up comedian. The evening will be unmissable for all football fans so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
