Charlestown and Callington Up Next For South West Ladies

Torquay United and Buckland Athletic Ladies are both on their travels this Sunday with the Gullettes looking to end a disappointing month on a high note and Buckland aiming for six out of six in the league.

Torquay’s visit to struggling Charlestown will be their first away match in any competition after Keynsham Town pulled out of their FA Cup tie last month. But with their last two home matches ending in defeat, that might not be a bad thing.

As for Buckland, the only stain on their copybook was a narrow defeat against Keynsham’s first team in the FA Cup, mitigated by the fact that the victors play their football in the Women’s Premier League. Apart from that it’s been all positive for the Yellows who have won all but one of their league matches by at least a four goal margin, the only close affair a 3-2 victory at Plympton. Buckland top the division and travel to Callington Town on the back of a whopping 14-0 hammering of Illogan last weekend. But Callington’s record this season is not too dissimilar to Buckland’s and a win for the hosts will put them top of the pile.

Here is the story so far…
